Debbie Butterworth and Tom Eismeier
Recipients of the 2008 Brownell Award

Co-president Peter Cary presented the Brownell Award, given in recognition of the outstanding implementation of a CEEF grant, to Butterworth and Eismeier, noting the remarkable teamwork and vision needed to develop and implement Pond Cove’s innovative Math Lab. The Math Lab serves students in kindergarten through second grades that benefit from specific attention in math fundamentals. Eismeier’s vision and his collaboration with staff were noted as tantamount to the success of the lab, while Butterworth’s energy, passion and infectious love of math have led to immediate results among math lab students.
