Grant covers four dry suits to be used by the HS Physical Education Adventure classes and the Sailing Team. The PE Adventure Class will use the suits when they conduct a cold water night rescue (only school in the state to do this). Dry suits will be used in a loaner program for students who want to join the HS Sailing Team but cannot afford to buy a dry suit.

Grant pays for two US History classes to attend the JFK Library & Museum in Boston. Grant covers transportation for 34 students and chaperones and it also covers substitute teacher costs for one class. Emphasis will be on policy implementation (and will be tied to the policy paper/project that is a common assessment for juniors taking US History) and understanding the Cold War and Civil Rights Movement.

The program includes senior citizens and municipal employees. This phase will include a HS Senior Transition Project.
